2002 NESSA Women's Invitational Regatta

RESULTS:
We had a great day for sailing and very good competition on the
water. The day started off with sunny skies (mid 50s) and a
moderate 8-10 knot NNE breeze. By the end of the day it was
cloudy, in the low 40s, with a gusty 10-12 knots out of the SSW.
We were able to get in 14 races with the great help of Steve and
Dick Homer who ran the committee boat. Tom Robinson and Linda
Epstein were the Judges and helped to keep everything moving
smoothly.
Only 2 protests were heard resulting in two DSQs. Special thanks
to Nick Judson, Nantucket Coach, for his assistances all weekend
in preparing for the regatta.
I want to thank all the teams who traveled to Mount Desert
Island. The Sportswomanship was outstanding and I think they were
rewarded with a well-run event. Kudos to all that helped.
